Paul Cunningham | Three Summers in Alaska: Guiding and Photographing the Wild
For three summers, Paul worked as a photography guide in the small Southeast Alaska towns of Skagway and Haines, leading visitors into a landscape of towering mountains, dramatic fjords, and abundant wildlife. Working with Rainbow Glacier Adventures, he introduced travelers to the challenges and joys of photographing bald eagles, brown bears, and the ever-changing moods of the Inside Passage. In this presentation, Paul will share stories from the trail and a selection of images that capture the rugged beauty of the region, the unique culture of life in a seasonal tourism town, and the rewards of teaching photography in one of the world’s most spectacular settings.
