Friday, August 9, at 5pm PDT is the deadline! If you wish to show some work for a month as part of a PPF group show, you MUST submit your images and accompanying paperwork (all sent at the same time) to Ron Odenheimer (email@example.com) and Walt Duddington (firstname.lastname@example.org) before the deadline. The Forum will use this information to submit a proposal to the Multnomah Arts Center. The MAC has VERY specific requirements, so be certain to follow the instructions exactly. Here’s what you need to send to Ron and Walt:
One page resumé and/or one page biography (including current phone number) sent in a Microsoft Word compatible format (such as .doc or .rtf.)
Up to three (3) digital images of the work you hope to exhibit. These will be seen by the MAC selection committee so they need to be high quality. Please follow these requirements precisely:
*.JPG file *1024 pixels on the LONG side *use this file naming method:
lastnamefirstinitial_1.jpg i.e. isaakc_1.jpg
lastnamefirstinitial_2.jpg i.e. isaakc_2.jpg …etc., etc., etc.
Include an image list in Microsoft Word compatible text using this format:
1. lastnamefirstinitial_1.jpg, Title of Image, Media, Dimensions, Price, Year made, how produced, how printed i.e. isaakc_1.jpg “Trees in Shadow”, inkjet, 8 inch x 10 inch framed, $250, 2018, digital capture, inkjet pigment print on cotton rag paper
Remember, your resumé/bio, up to 3 jpg images, and image list—all sent at the same time—MUST be in Ron and Walt’s hands no later than 5pm on Friday, August 9, 2019. (Can you tell we are serious about this?)
What happens next? The PPF Board will select 20 images for the portfolio application that goes to the MAC. That’s the most we can send in the proposal. If our proposal is accepted, we may be able to hang more than 20 works when the time comes.
Thanks to our Board members, Mike O., Walt, Gary, Alan, Ron, Carol, Janis, and Ashley for taking on this big project! They hope to see lots of members participating in this call for work so that our application provides a good example of the quality of work we would hang if given a month on the exhibition calendar.
