Linda Robertson creates altered landscapes with vibrant colors reminiscent of places she loves, including her home town in Hawai’i and her current home in Portland, Oregon. She originally studied as a photographer working in alternative processes such as cyanotype, gum bichromate, and Van Dyke brown prints. Excited with these results, Linda also experimented with early color xerography and was awarded a full scholarship to work on the legendary 20 x 24 Polaroid camera. In her talk, Linda will share stories about working in these varied processes as well as some of her latest work which combines photography with encaustic painting.
